WebMar 14, 2024 · Portsmouth Harbour Station was built in 1876. In the late 19th century there was a military hospital in Lion Terrace. It was closed at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1908 a military hospital was built to replace it on the slopes of Portsdown Hill. It eventually became Queen Alexandra’s Hospital.
