WebJul 19, 2024 · Surfers Healing was founded by former competitive surfer Israel “Izzy” Paskowitz and his wife Danielle, whose son Isaiah was diagnosed with autism when he was 3 years old. Izzy got the idea for the nonprofit foundation when he took his son out on his surfboard for the first time and saw the calming affect the ocean and surfing had on Isaiah.
