WebJan 2, 2004 · Third-order nonlinear susceptibilities ( χ(3)) and nonlinear refractive indices ( n2) of KDP, BBO and LiNbO 3 crystals are measured at the wavelengths of 1064 nm and 532 nm by Z-scan technique. The measurements were carried out at different pulse energies, focusing conditions, and crystals’ lengths. WebThe compound 6b showed nonlinear absorption(β) of 1.94×10 −11 m/W at intensity (I 0) is 4.49GW/cm 2. Third order nonlinear susceptibility is of the order of 10 −12 esu and this indicates the molecule has the potential to be used in nonlinear optical device applications.
